Spring Planting and Clean-Up

On April 22nd we spent the morning planting about 35 specimens of transplanted native prairie species. Some of the species planted were from the following: lady slippers, 3 flowered avens, blazing stars, wolf willow, and many more... The specimens were taken from the future Chief Peguis trail extension last fall. Thanks to Paul and Curtis from the city who brought the plants, shovels and water. Hopefully the se plants survive and flourish!

The next day, April 23rd, btoh classes spent a good part of the afternoon cleaning the trail from Munroe north towards Kimberley, but we only made it Concordia. Hopefully we will have time to return to finnish the job in May.
